2024 Fair Theme Contest Underway

Watsonville, CA – New year, new theme! It’s time for The Santa Cruz County Fair Annual Fair Theme Contest!

The Fairgrounds invites the community to submit theme ideas that reflect the vibrant spirit of our diverse community. The theme should also touch on one or more of the following topics: Youth in Agriculture, Crafting and Arts in Santa Cruz, Stepping into the Future, Coastal Life or Celebrating Agriculture.

The winner will receive four complimentary tickets to the 2024 Santa Cruz County Fair and a complimentary parking pass.

The deadline for entries is January 9th at 5pm.

Shop ‘til You Drop at the Holiday Craft and Gift Fair

Watsonville, CA - We have the perfect solution for that impossible-to-shop-for person in your life… the 46th annual Holiday Craft and Gift Fair! This two-day event features an abundance of shopping options and much, much more!

The Fair takes place this weekend, December 1st and 2nd  at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. It’s the perfect place to shop local. 125 vendors will be selling unique and handmade gifts, everything from clothes to candles… plus food and candy. And, fair goers can keep up their shopping energy with a home cooked dinner and hot apple pie.

During the two days of the Holiday Fair, attendees can walk through Holiday Lights. It’s an extra special opportunity to see all the lights on foot and take lots of photos—aka, selfies. You might even encounter Santa himself!

Let’s review… unique shopping options, a homemade meal and Holiday Lights! What mall can offer all that?

Holiday Craft and Gift Fair:
December 1st and 2nd

Noon - 9pm
Walk-through of Holiday Lights starting at 5:30pm

And remember, Holiday Lights continues through December 24th.

Driving tours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 5:30pm (with the exception of Dec. 1st and 2nd, when it’s walk-through only)

Holiday Lights Opens TONIGHT!

Watsonville, CA – Sparkle, charm, whimsy and tradition… Holiday Lights, at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, is the must-see event of the holiday season!

The 4th annual Holiday Lights kicks off tonight!

This incredible light display features TWO MILLION lights! You'll be dazzled as you drive a 3/4 mile loop around the fairgrounds... passing through a magical world where everything from Santa Claus to tractors are brought to life in lights. This year, there will be a snow globe display inspired by the artwork of a local 4th grader. Attendees can stay warm and snuggly in their car and listen to a special Holiday Lights radio station while soaking up all the spectacular lights.

Holiday Lights is made possible by the Fair Foundation and Ag History Project.

November 24th - December 24th
Driving tours - Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 5:30pm

Watsonville, CA - It's time to embrace the sights and sounds of the holiday season... and there's no better place than the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds-- home of Holiday Lights and the Holiday Craft and Gift Fair!
